Eight year old Ghanaian poet Nakeeyat Dramani Sam has revealed that her siblings encouraged her to contest for TV3’s Talented Kids.
In an interview on the Delay Show, she disclosed that her siblings made her acknowledge her talent.
According to her, she was watching the advert on television with her siblings and they suggested she should go for the auditions.
“I thank my siblings for encouraging me, I saw the advert on TV and my siblings told me to audition, Nakeeyat you have talent, do you remember the day that we were celebrating our school and you did a poem for the school, you see, that is your talent. I told my parents and they said there is no harm in trying so I auditioned” she stated.
When asked if she knew that she will be crowned the winner, she said yes because her uniqueness and performances made her stand out among her colleagues.
Nakeeyat said she aspires to be the First Female President of Ghana, adding that she wants to pursue more things.
Nakeeyat won TV3’s Talented Kids Season 10, the 8 years who performed mainly as a poet during the the show and earned massive praises for her performances over the period.
She took home a 10,000 Ghana cedi’s cash prize, a 15,000 Ghana cedi’s educational fund, an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK, as well as souvenirs from sponsors.
