Ghanaian Gospel musician and NPP member, Diana Asamoah has applauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the introduction of Free Senior High School policy.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz with Nana Ama Mcbrown on October 17, 2020, Diana said the introduction of Free SHS initiative, has saved a lot of students from being wayward.

Her comments sparked massive debate with the other guests on the show as fellow Gospel artiste Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong also suggested she wasn’t supposed to generalize the situation but rather say some students would have ended up in armed robbery.

Isaiah known in showbiz circles as Great Ampong who is also a staunch NPP supported said Diana Asamoah’s comments amounted to hasty generalization.

He explained that though he is an NPP member, he wouldn’t sit on the show to say all students enjoying the free SHS by President Akufo-Addo would have turned armed robbers if not for the initiative.

He opined that some would have join bad companies and turn into bad nuts in the society but not all would have been robbers.

Diana Asamoah however did not back down on her claims and still stood by her comments.

Meanwhile, Great Ampong also disclosed how he fell in love with the NPP and said it was because, the Party has God’s Wisdom and creates social intervention for the poor and needy.

The show had Diana Asamoah, Great Ampong and Rex Omar as guests whiles Arnold Asamoah Baidoo who is a regular panellist joined.
