The Accra Circuit Court has granted highlife musician Akosua Agyapong bail for allegedly conspiring with another person and defrauding a businessman to the tune of GHC105,000 in a land deal.

She was granted bail in the sum of GHC160,000 with three sureties after her lawyer, J.H Quist pleaded that she will be available and cooperate with investigations.

Prosecutors claim that the musician and a man identified as Frank Agyemang (Killer Boss), who is her cousin, sold a parcel of land – worth ¢160,000 – which they did not own to the businessman.

They have jointly charged the two with conspiracy to commit crime and fraudulent transaction.

At a previous hearing, the singer after denying the allegations and pleading not guilty was not present in the courtroom. Her legal representatives submitted a medical report which indicated that she was sick.

The hearing presided over by Cecilia Dapaa Mireku, continues at the court on November 13, 2017.
